Fall Fun!!!

"The Great Pumpkin" was his name. Sadly, he isn't with us anymore. Mold took over and he should've gone to the compost bin, but I made the quick decision towards the dumpster instead. Every year, we name our pumpkin. I forget last year's, but the year before that was "Dusty" due to our home rennovations going on at the time.

all a glow

Lincoln, Norah and Avonlea watching "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"

Somehow, taking silly pictures as we clean out the seeds from the pumpkin has become a tradition as well. Here's Avy's silly face.

...and this would be Rob's =)

seeds...yum!

Avonlea striking a pose...vogue!

"How should we carve him this year guys?"

Somebody had to wear the Thomas costume...Rob felt the calling. =)

"CHEESE!"

"Giddie up pony!"

This is belated, I know, but better late than never. =) These are pictures from our church fall festival, Halloween and our local carnival. Although we're not big Halloween celebrators, we do enjoy a trip around the block collecting candy from neighbors that we know as well as decorating our pumpkin. Lincoln got a kick out of it this year and I'm just praying that he doesn't think this is a normal thing, to knock on people's doors, expecting candy. The kids both used their manners with many "thank yous" along the way. We came home, inspected candy (just incase), ate lots of candy (dentists say it's better to eat a bunch in one sitting than to spread out one piece a day, so that's what we did!), passed out our candy bags with little Bible verses to other trick-or-treaters, sang some Christmas songs (Rob is already in the mood for Christmas...this usually starts in June for him..."Christmas is right around the corner!" is the saying), brushed teeth WELL and went to bed. Avonlea was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Lincoln was supposed to be Thomas the Train, but Rob wound up wearing the costume (someone's gotta wear it, right?) and Norah was a pumpkin. Riley even participated and was a ballerina.
**The first video is (obviously) us carving our pumpkin and the second video (my first You Tube attempt) is of Rob and Avonlea singing the Michael W. Smith song All is Well, probably our favorite Christmas song.
