"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Republican National Convention

Not sure if you've been following the Republican National Convention here in Tampa, Florida but we have. It's been interesting to watch Ann Romney and Chris Christie speak. I'm hoping to catch Paul Ryan tonight.

Although Mitt Romney was not my first choice for a presidential candidate, I still support his main issues, espeically repealing Obamacare (although to be honest, his own leadership in his state has me a bit nervous).

I thought I'd post Christie's speech incase you missed it. I love how he says that Americans are tired of being talked down to and want to be talked to as adults. Obama continues to make excuses for the American people saying that we "didn't build our entrepaneurships", that we need bail outs, that we need to depend on the government for everything. NOT what our country was founded on!!!

We were founded on the principles of God. Principles of hard work, rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty. Providing for yourself and having community support for families. SACRIFICE in generations for following generations.

I think our founding fathers would indeed roll over in their graves if they saw what our country has become...a big mess of debt, excuses, lies, laziness, disrespect for others, selfishness, sneakiness, geneside of unborn babies and our future American leaders, lack of bravery in our leaders and the biggest danger is that of defiance against the Lord's principles and His Word. He gave us His Word as a manual for life and we continue to dismiss its importance.

Oh, SIN...you are such a weight and a destructor.

Sometimes, my heart just aches for our country. For what we have become. I feel as though I need to apologize to our Creator so often for the things I see going on. The saddest part is that there's SO much more going on that my eyes don't see that He does. Oh how He must weep for the ones He loves. For the ones who are so lost and have no purpose for their life except to merely exist and then die. To exist without the hope of someday knowing Jesus Christ.

On the flip side, I am thankful for our leaders who are "taking us where we SHOULD go" even though it may hurt tempoarily. Who are telling the truth because we are adults and we can take it. May the Lord keep them brave and courageous as they stand against so many. We're tired of being babied by Obama. We just want the truth. The facts. Let's not be scared to sacrifice a little financially for the next generation and the future of our country. History is on the line here. Obama has already given up on us as Americans and is ready to begin this new one world government (Revelation 13:1, Daniel 7:16-24, Daniel 2:41-42, Revelation 13:2). You can read HERE for further breakdown. I do consider this source to be quite credible and accurate, otherwise I wouldn't promote them in our learning process together.

Tune in tonight for more Republican excitement as the RNC continues throughout the week here in Tampa.

Government Preventing Kids From Working the Family Farm...What's Next?

My parents and I have had our ups and downs growing up, but we've always had a very close relationship. We talk about everything. Nothing is off-limits. There are certain things that I think are very important in discussing with our children and as Rob and I are young parents, there are things that we always want to be an open door for discussion between us and our children. Politics is one of them. Besides their relationships with the Lord, knowing what's going on in the major decision-making of our country is the second most important thing I can think of to educate our children. Some like to stray away from politics. Some are uncomfortable with the topic. Some choose not to keep up with our country's laws and decisions and before we know it, if we all become so uninvolved, we won't be able to recognize America any longer. I don't feel as though we're on that track. I feel as if we're already there.

Mom shared this information with me recently. Thanks Mom! This is a story about the laws in place under President Obama's watch to prevent children to work on farms. I can't honestly say that I'm shocked because nothing under his administration shocks me anymore. Our country is dwindling away as we sit by and watch. I thank God everyday for the men and women continuing to fight for our country's freedoms. It's just sad that our own President doesn't.

Israel On My Mind

Israel is on my mind and in my prayers today. I'm still engulfed in reading Can American Survive? by John Hagee and it's almost addicting. I took a break from reading it awhile ago, but now I'm back in it full force with my Bible laid next to it as I read, comparing and researching. I plan on doing a full post after reading it entirely, but until then, please join me in praying for the Jews and Christians who have undergone, are undergoing and will undergo persecution in Israel and all throughout the world.

"The covenant for this land that God Almighty loves and that radical Islam passionately hates" is this...

"And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

Genesis 17:7-8

If a book with this title surprises you or you think it's "out there" or radical, I would encourage you to turn on the news, pay attention, take notes if you have to and be aware of what's going on not only in America, but in the Middle East. Use your Bible as your main source and be careful what other sources you use. Always read books with an open mind and never just take someone's word for it that it's in fact true.

"The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps." Proverbs 14:15

Will you join me in prayer today?

George Soros...Man of Power?
Whether you're a liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, you need to tune into Glenn Beck's FOX News special tonight to watch "The Puppet Master". It's about George Soros and his attempt to create a one world government. There have been many lunatics that have come before him and failed at taking ultimate power, but will this one succeed? I know most of you read this blog to obtain information about gardening, homeschool curriculum, family moments, etc. Maybe even to get a "warm fuzzy" (I'm not a sugar-coater if you haven't noticed). However, it is your duty to know what's going on in your country and if we want to keep our FREEDOM, we need to be tuned in and alert, be steadfast in PRAYER for those in authority and for those who have been called, get involved. As you watch FOX tonight, you can do your own research and make your own assumptions, but this is REAL and this man is POWERFUL. He has the support of Hilary Clinton and has already had numerous meetings with our very own President Obama.

Florida Conservatives Are Speaking Up!
Obama wanted "CHANGE"...Well, it's a comin' and it's RED! Look out.:)

Lovin' this (below) for our House...
(I know, I know. We kept our fingers crossed for a majority in the Senate, but it was close, what can I say? There weren't enough seats open for us to have a good chance. Next time. Patience and PRAYER.)

Lovin' this (below) for our new Govorner (see ya' Crist!),

and joining Bill Nelson (Dem.) in the second Senate seat is...

(drum roll, please)

Republican Marco Rubio!

Keep these men in your prayers as they help lead our state and our country.

Don't forget to get out and VOTE tomorrow
(or today if you're reading this on Tuesday)!
May God bless the ones we elect and may He be present in the decisions made for our state and country.
If you live in Florida, you may find some help (if you haven't yet voted) HERE.

Tour of the Capitol

One thing that excites me more than anything about home educating our children is the fact that we can pick up as a family and go on field trips such as the video below. We can teach our children the correct and true history of our nation, not a history from modern textbooks which fails to address the godly principles with which our country was founded upon. Not a history that our corrupt media wants to plant in our young minds. The statistics in this video are shocking. If only we could bring our nation back to what it once was. Although our nation has made poor decisions in which we cannot go back (separation of church and state, healthcare, etc.), I will continue to be steadfast in prayer. Thanks Jill for sharing this and encouraging others to share as well. Pass it on everyone! :)

Proud to Be an American Because of THESE Men...

No major post today because I'm totally engulfed in this...I've been so dissappointed and distracted with yesterday's poitical happenings that I decided to go to the library and check out a bunch of books that reestablish my feelings for what our country was founded upon. The hard working, God-fearing men that fought for our country. The morality and ethics that existed back then. The presidents that didn't have to persuade or BUY people's votes for a law to be passed. THESE are the men that I celebrate, honor and when I say that "I'm proud to be an American", it's because of THESE men.

Click below:
I'm trying to put the healthcare bill and what it stands for behind me and press on with my day, but it's hard. It's EVERYWHERE in the news and every time I see it, I just keep praying. Praying, praying, praying.
Our country and what it was founded on are a passion for our family. We have 12 states that are making plans to sue, so we'll see what comes about in the months ahead.

Okay, so here are some things we've been up to the past few days...

soaking peas before planting...speeds the process up a bit.

It's, once again, Musical Monday and I've posted this once before, but thought I'd post it again if you missed it the first time. I thought it was quite fitting for today.

Healthcare Passed...I Feel SICK!

Healthcare passed through the House tonight. I feel sick to my stomach. More government control...here we come. America is no longer run by the people, we are run by our government. More government, paid-for abortions, here we come. I'm beyond stressed. I need to go to bed.

"Lord, stay with our country. Bless our country even though we keep pushing you out. Have mercy on us Father."

The Tea Party is on the Move!!!!

I don't know how many of you keep up with the news, but the Tea Party movement is on the move and here is their biggest endorser, Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin. The American people are sick and tired of the government and how it runs our country. We're tired of being lied to, promises broken and a president who is a people pleaser. Yes, a people pleaser, not a leader. Tea Parties are growing and I have a feeling that the next 3 years are going to be interesting. We shall see how things pan out in terms of the Tea Party movement combining with the Republican party or whether it will become large enough to sustain itself in being its own party. One thing I know is that these Tea Parties are being formed by people who want CHANGE. Not the change that Obama was preaching about. We want REAL CHANGE. Change for moral values to be encouraged in our homes. Change for people to have a greater respect for human life. Change so people don't have to feel reserved about their faith in God! While watching Sarah Palin's speech last night, I found it so encouraging that she made comments referring to her faith in God. I posted over a year ago on how I felt about this 'Present Day Esther' and it is refreshing and inspiring to know that she's still fighting for our rights as Americans. Now if only we could get our President, our Congress, our Washington D.C. leaders to hear our cry as Americans. We don't want a government run nation. We want our people to lead. To lead in dignity as our forefathers once did. This is America. Home of the FREE! If you didn't get a chance to watch Mrs. Palin's speech last night, you can view it below.
Americans, please continue to PRAY for our country which was founded on Godly principles.
I think that's why I love the song 'What If His People Prayed' so much. I always think about what I can be praying about more, like our nation and its leaders. I urge you to find time today to pray for our nation. Add 'the USA' to your prayer list and pray daily. There is still hope.

Brown Wins!! What Now for Healthcare?

So, if you haven't been up to date on the election for Senator in Massachusetts, you might want to read THIS ARTICLE. Being stay at home moms, we often don't get to just flip on the tv/radio/internet whenever we want. We're BUSY! Anyway, my husband and I have been following this election for the past few days and it'll be interesting to see what Washington does with healthcare now. The tables have turned.

Let me set the record straight by saying that I haven't been for free healthcare, EVER. Do you want to know why? Because it starts with healthcare and then goes from there in terms of government control. We're already in so much debt as a country. When you have other countries buying major companies and buildings (hello, New York!) from you just so you can keep your businesses afloat...ug. Not good. Now, we're still spending out the ying-yang and heathcare isn't going to help. Listen closely as I tell you that my own parents who are entrepeneurs (my father has run his own business for 30+ years) don't have good healthcare and no dental. But they're not in favor of free healthcare. It's just another step in the direction of more government control. We're losing our freedom little by little as we continue to stay uniformed and uneducated about these topics.

I think we all got a glimpse of reality when Massachusetts, who is a primarily Democratic state and has been since the seventies, voted in a Republican Senator to take Kennedy's spot!!! That says something!!! Democrats are voting Republican because they're tired of Obama and Washington making promises to be open about certain policies by posting them on the internet for all American to see, when they haven't. They don't want government run healthcare and their voices are going to be heard.

We shall see when this Senator is seated. All eyes are watching and Washington wouldn't dare postpone this. We'll see what drastic measures they take to continue to try and pass their healthcare plan.

I'm so glad that our country is still free and that as voters, our voices can still be (and will be) heard!
