More Random Thoughts On a Sunday
This sniffly (and sore-throated) Mommy spent Sunday morning at home with a sniffly baby who napped for awhile allowing me precious time with my Lord reading His Word, praying and listening to worship songs.
I read in Matthew this morning. Matthew 13:53-58 says this:
"When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. 'Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?' they asked. 'Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?' And they took offense at him.
But Jesus said to them, 'A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.'
And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith."

Wowsers! Jesus MOVED ON from these people due to their lack of faith and didn't have any miracles to preform for them.
For some reason, we know a bunch of families going through a season of transition now. Some are smaller and some are life-changing. On my knees this morning, asking Him to open and close doors. Asking Him to provide the FAITH necessary for Him to be glorified in these stories. Asking the Holy Spirit to whisper in patient ears, awaiting guidance. Praying that we may be of help and support. Praying that we could be there for support if God says "No". Lots of PRUNING and in this PRUNING God will be glorified.
