Trip to the Park

The kids and I took a trip to another local park and did we ever have a good time! They had a museum as you enter, little critters to observe, a baby-friendly play zone, lots of birds and animals to observe (including alligators!), lots of trails and a butterfly garden. We like to find Monarch butterfly eggs on the underside of milkweed leaves and take the leaves home to watch them develop. So far, the eggs have hatched and we have TINY caterpillars.

Looking for alligators. We did finally wind up seeing one!

Avonlea and "E" on a cute bench in the butterfly garden.

This body of water surrounds the park and it's absolutely beautiful. There's even an island and the breeze is unbelievable.
