2013 Homeschool Convention
What a blessing it was to participate once again in our state's annual homeschool conference. This is my fourth year attending and our second as a family. Of coarse we took the camper and along with our "crew", we hightailed it up to Orlando for the weekend of fun. It was an added bonus to run into church family where we were camping and as always, we ran into other homeschooling friends at the convention. Some are old friends, homeschooling veterans, and some are new to this avenue. It was great to see everyone and Rob and I particularly love how this trip is becoming a tradition and a really sweet time for our family. Our kids really look forward to it now.
(Norah clearly did NOT want her picture taken here, can you tell?)
Too many vendors to count! So pleased to see Simply Charlotte Mason's booth and representation there for their first time. I picked up some of their handwriting booklets, a nature cd and browsed at some picture study curriculum. Sonya Schaffer did some workshops too.
This conference was definitely different in the fact that I had a newborn with me. I didn't get to any workshops this year, but I was so excited to find out that FPEA offers the cds and mp3 downloads to all of their workshops. You can see and buy them online HERE. Also, they will have these for sale for a LONG time. The FPEA representative I spoke to on the phone said that they still have some workshop cds from last year's conference. Too cool.
Taking a break...Titus and Avonlea.
The kids loved looking at the various vendors.
Quick nursing break
Isaac stayed in his stroller for all of about 5 minutes. Too much too see and do. He shot out like a cannon and was off to explore. (This photo was during that 5 minutes!) :)

Did you attend your state's
homeschool conference this year?
If so, what were some things you took
away and learned from?
