Christmas, 2012
From our family to yours, we hope you all had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Our Christmas breakfast {slash} Jesus' birthday party.

After reading the Christmas story from Luke, we prayed and opened gifts to each other.

Homemade cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting...yummo! {Rob's favorite}

My dad and his brother being themselves...Christmas Eve night. Two God-fearing men that I admire and am thankful for.

Norah telling secrets with my brother, Uncle Nathan.

My kitchen helpers (Isaac and Norah)

A sweet dolly bed that my dad made for Norah. It was made from scrap pieces of wood from their house and mom made the dolly quilt, pillow and mattress. It was a really sweet gift I know she'll cherish for a long time.

A reaction from my mom when she opened my gift to her. The credit really goes to the whole family for contributing as far as time and babysitting so I could get it done.

What started out as a wall hanging turned into a king size for Mom and Dad's bed. It fit perfectly (thanks to Dad's measurements).

The quilt in it's entirety. I named it "The Above Rubies Quilt" as it was for my mother who I consider far above rubies.

"A capable, intelligent, and]virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls."  Proverbs 31:10

I pray the Lord blessed your Christmas however you spent it and that 2013 would be a time of reflection and deep prayer as we continue to dedicate this country to God Almighty and follow the Holy Spirit's leading for each of our lives.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."    Isaiah 9:6

The reaction your mom made is what makes it all worth it. So blessed to have your family near for Christmas. It seems cinnamon rolls are the popular food for Christmas morning. :) We had the same. Next year I intend to serve sausage with it.

Your pictures are wonderful. How is your pregnancy going? I hope you are feeling well.

I know that was a very special gift for your Mom. Great work, Kelli. I am amazed that you were able to complete that job with all you are doing. Your Mom was blessed by it, I am sure!
