As the School Year Approaches...

...and for many of you, has started already, I'd like to kick things off with a bit of laughter. :) I received my book Lies Homeschooling Moms Believe by Todd Wilson today and after reading the first chapter, I'm already impressed and love it. There really are so many lies that we as moms believe. Someone else is always doing things better than we are. Can I let you in on a little secret? It's not a competition! There's also no magical magazine article, blog post or book that contains the missing ingredient you need to be that perfect mother and wife. It just doesn't exist. There is a lot of great information out there to help you in the process of raising your children, but choose carefully and don't fall into the trap that you have to "do it all". We've all been there! I hope this is an encouragement to you today and these cartoons by this wonderful (and funny!) homeschooling dad of 8 are a blessing and bring you a little chuckle.
