TIME

Ecclesiastes 3 starts out...

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

As we adjust to lack of sleep, a new addition taking up other siblings' time with Mom and Dad, less "us time" and a toddler who isn't 100% happy with her new baby brother, I am reminded of this Bible verse which brings me comfort. It is definately a time of CHANGE around here, good change, but at times difficult. Change that requires sacrifice, extra patience, mercy, grace and all on a few hours of sleep. However, the Lord is getting us through each "hairy moment", each "I want Mommy" as well as the sweet moments of snuggling and laughter. Moments we'll never forget as parents. Moments we'll never forget as a married couple still very much in love. Moments we know God has given us to prune us and shape us into the family HE wants us to be.
