Valarie and Tecia are both correct!
It is a water purifier. It's a system we bought 7 years ago while we were living in our old house and we moved it to our current house. Living in Florida, we have terrible water and this baby does a fine job of stripping it back to good, drinkable water. We do take Concentrace Trace Mineral Drops added to juice a few times a week to put the good minerals back into our bodies. I would never suggest someone use the same company we used (Rainsoft) because they're a TERRIBLE company out to get every penny from their customers. As we were going to have our system moved, repaired and brought to our current house, Rainsoft wanted to charge us over $2,000 for all new parts and our resin (the little, orange balls that purify the water) replaced. Outrageous. Well, we've been so blessed because Uncle Derek came to the rescue. He's a plumber and has always been there for us in out times of plumbing needs. Usually, Rob will tackle the job if he can, but if it's an emergency and he's at work or something, Derek comes to our rescue. He did it again with our water softener charging us next to nothing to get everything set up and running. So I'm happy to say that our entire house (yep, toilets, sinks, bathwater, washer and garden hoses) are all flowing with (praise the Lord!) good, clean, purified water. The taste and feel of the water is very different and we don't have to use nearly the amount of soap we once did. Just a dab will do ya!

If you're looking for a way to enhance your water, but you don't want to pay a lot of money, take a trip to your local health food store and see if they carry one already in the store where you can fill up reusable water jugs (we used to use large, glass apple cider jugs) for around 30 cents a gallon. Pennies compared to buying a whole system.

So, cheers to good water!

Very neat! We have well water not city water. But I don't like the taste so I buy mine from Wal-Mart, they have a water system there and I have a 5 gallon water container and three 3 gallon water containers (yeah we drink lots of water). I just fill them up for hardly anything. I would love to have something like that.
