Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash
Avonlea and Nathan doing laundry
The clothes line we put up to dry the clothes on.
More laundry
Two weeks ago, Avonlea was learning about the letter "L" and we used the book Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash to talk about "L"aundry. Avy has always enjoyed helping me fold towels (they're easy) and washcloths here and there. It's not a regular chore of hers, but I think that's what makes it fun for her. She likes to play "mommy" a lot, from taking care of her babies to helping with laundry, etc. It's cute. Anyways, we checked out this book and made an afternoon of "L"aundry on the back porch. Her friends were over to play and we set up the play washer and dryer my aunt gave me (her girls grew out of it) and we hung up a clothes line along the house where they could reach. They must have spent a whole hour pretending to do laundry. It was a fun afternoon.
