What We've Been Up To

Whew! It's been a whirlwind around here lately. A good kind of whirlwind though. We've been picking up people at the airport, making up beds, cooking food (lots of food), cleaning up, doing laundry (So blessed that some friends lent us a dryer for awhile. I've forgotten what a blessing it is to have a dryer.), taking people back to the airport, cleaning up, cleaning out Grandma's boxes, sorting, washing bedding that was lent to us, taking back a pack-n-play that we borrowed, almost ready to return other bedding, shopping with Brittish sister-in-law (check!), listening to family stories, staying up late chatting away, going out to a Mexican restaurant with family, playing "Dutch Blitz" and "Spoon" cards games of which my husband is still reigning champ (go Rob!), talking about future plans, reminiscing about the past, talking about Grandma Charlotte and her amazing life as a teacher, writer, mother, wife, friend and follower of Jesus, catching up on technology (can't keep up with all the gadgets others have), seeing those gadgets unite family who are separated and missing one another, more laundry, taking care of baby chicks (who arrived last week...more on that later), locating things/objects family left and will need to be shipped back to them, hugs, "thank yous", BLESSINGS, BLESSINGS, BLESSINGS.
