"Beyond Organic" Farming...Polyface Farm

I have a new favorite website and yes, it replaces Garden Girl. (Can you belive it?)

The new site is called Polyface Farm and the farm is located in the Shenendoah Valley in Virginia. It's a beautiful farm on hundreads of acres and they are a "beyond organic" farm. "Beyond organic" is a term that has so much behind it. It's when, as a farmer, you're letting NATURE run itself, basically. You let cows eat GRASS...what a concept! You let pigs, chickens, turkeys and rabbits graze in the valley. You rotate your crops and animals so that all energy is used up by itself and there is little to no outside needs using up fuel and outside labor. It's so funny that we think of this as a truly amazing concept, but this is how (before just 70 years ago) things WERE run. Anyway, here are two introductory videos for Polyface Farm that I think you'll enjoy. I've added some of Joel's books to my Christmas wishlist.:) Our family will be taking a trip to Virginia to visit Rob's brother this winter and we're going to try to make it out to Polyface, but we shall see.

Oh yeah if you did get the chance to rent Food Inc. from your local video store recently, you might recognize Joel from the movie.

I'm so sorry...you asked me about cards a while ago. I do have sample here: http://kitchenwindow-sunflower.blogspot.com/2009/12/youve-got-mail.html
There are also quite a few stamping blogs...Stampin 411 and you can also look at samples on Stampin Up!'s website. Oh and split coast stampers is a great site too.
