Homeschool Happenings and Around the House

Lincoln has been doing very well learning his ABCs. He's definately my 'busy boy', but consistency has been KEY with my little man and I can't BELIEVE how much he's learned in the past 3 weeks!

We're making a letter of the week book and here's letter 'Aa'.

Trying our luck at our very first lapbooks...Fruit of the Spirit.

Around the House...
Baking letter 'Aa' cookies

biking

Starting Lincoln on Handwriting Without Tears...introducing 'Mat Man'.

toddling around

just being sweet

making mango (and pineapple) sorbet

chocolate face

making homemade buttermilk bisquits

being lazy

Been a casual reader of your blog for a while and wanted to ask your opinion on something. My son is 2.5 and I'm due with baby number 2 around Christmas. During our winter months (approx Nov-Apr) it's hard to get outside to play so I'm going to be indoors a lot with a toddler and a newborn. So I've been looking at something somewhat structured I can do with my son to give him the one-on-one focused time that he needs but so I don't have to put a lot of prep work into it. These are some of the "curriculms" I've looked at and since you're homeschooling youngsters maybe you have some opinions or advice?

Love the letter of the week book and cookies. Do you shape the cookies into the letter and if so how do you do that?
