There is a park not too far away that the kids and I like to meet Daddy for lunch at sometimes. It's filled with wildlife, lots of vegetation and plenty for a child to stay occupied with. This week, we put
MY homeschool plans on hold with Avonlea because she's had a big interest in the life cycle of an amphibian. She was watching a science show the other day and she got up out of her seat and proclaimed that we
MUST learn about these magnificent creatures. If we must, we must! :) So, we set out on a day we could also meet Daddy for lunch and we explored like there was no tomorrow. We even caught some tadpoles to take home and watch transform. Then, we decided that they'd be happier back at the park, so when they're grown, we'll return them. Here are some photos of the day...

a bee...can you see it in the direct center of the photo?

You are doing great with the new camera! :) If you are interested in going manual, check out JessicaSprague.com for a class coming up soon that will be super informative! I love your science journals too. :) We are just getting into these after watching Sid the Science Kid - my kids love that show! :) Would love to see other ways you've used your science journals in a future blog post! ;) ;)
Hi Kelli,
I just wanted to tell you I enjoy reading your blog and your kids are beautiful! I love all of the organizational tips. I struggle with that. I did organize my eldest daughter's room using the bins and labels. Hopefully, they will stay organized:) Hope you are well!

I am so blessed by the pictures and news of what you all are doing. It makes me feel a bit closer to you even though I am on the other side of the world!
Wow, what a hands on experience for your kids. So many amazing things to be seen in one outing. This makes me want to take the kids exploring to see what we can find.
What a wonderful mommy! Great job, Kel! Thanks for sharing the sweet pictures! So....spring break is coming up soon...right at the beginning of April....maybe we can FINALLY get together! :)
