Ahhhh....St. Patty's Day. Hope everyone out there is wearing green and enjoying some luck today. :) Our day didn't exactly start out as planned today. Norah wasn't feeling well, so this morning, I needed to call the mom we babysit for to have her get a backup babysitter (check), make a doctor's appointment (check), find a dear friend who would watch my two older ones so that they wouldn't be collecting germs from the pediatrician's office (check) and take Norah in to get looked at (check). Ahh. As all of that has finished up, I'm sitting in utter peace and quiet, getting ready to make these...

and this...
(Shephard's pie)

My kids enjoyed wearing green today. I snapped this before we were off to our friend's house.

This is the reason we will have another project this weekend. I know my husband will be excited! :) Our beloved chickens are into MY GARDEN and that is not cute, and will NEVER happen again! They ate my oats, my wheat, some lettuce and dug up some potatoes and carrots. I was not a happy camper yesterday.

I received these in the mail yesterday and although I know that (for Florida) it's probably too late to plant these, I'm going to be stubborn and plant some (saving some for fall...what will grow in fall anyway).

I hope everyone is enjoying their Day 'O Green. :)

Your kids are getting so big!! Is Norah feeling better? That is not cool for the chickens to eat from your garden...Rob to the rescue!
