Homemade Pizza

Cut up and prepare your toppings. We love bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, onion and I LOVE steamed spinach on mine.
I used 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 unbleached white flour for the dough

I think I've posted my homemade pizza recipe once before, but I just wanted to share a little "tweak" that I did this past week. I used whole grain flour and the pizza turned out awesome! My husband and kids loved it too! It was MUCH more flavorful than Dominoe's or Hungry Howie's. Cheaper too! So, next time you're in the mood for pizza, try this recipe and see how your family takes to it. I promise, it won't let you down.
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups flour (I used 1/2 unbleached and 1/2 whole wheat)
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining ingredients. Let stand for 5 minutes. Spread in buttered pans. Put on toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 2 pizzas.
Enjoy!
