One of Those Days

Lack of sleep, two-year old who refuses to nap (this isn't supposed to happen yet!), newborn who also refuses to sleep during the day and potty-training a puppy = no "MOMMY TIME".

I've always prided myself on being super organized and having my kids on a great schedule that has allowed me time to myself each day (naptime) to regroup, straighten the house and get a few things done. Well, it's been one of those days. One of those days where I had to e-mail my husband to pray for me. One of those days where I called my mom to have an adult conversation and calm me down. One of those days where I had to really ask God for patience to continue on. Is it okay to let an almost one-month-old to cry for awhile because you just have to set her down since you've been holding her for an hour and a half and she STILL won't fall asleep even though her eyes are bloodshot and you know she's exhausted?

Sorry, Kelli! I have those days too, if it makes you feel any better. Yes, sometimes you just have to let them cry it out...Abby screamed bloody murder for at least 20 minutes every time she was put down to sleep.
Keep taking it to the Lord - He is my strength!

Yes, it's Ok to let her cry a little. Poor thing! At least you recognized that you're having one of those days and you turned to the right places. It will get better.
