A few of the books we checked out on planets. We also had some on the moon and stars.
Avonlea painted a solar system made out of styrophoam balls and wire. We had it all ready to show at our homeschool group, but found out at the last minute that our new puppy had destroyed a few of our planets, so we never got to share. =(
The kids were all decorating film canisters to make rockets. We later took turns setting them off in the backyard. It was a BLAST!
