Lately, I've really been discouraged looking for a preschool Bible curriculum for Avonlea. We do morning Bible time for 15-20 minutes and although we have a great children's Bible we use, we were lacking visual aids. I found some neat coloring/craft ideas online. I had to do the work though. It wasn't like a prepared curriculum where it's planned out for you. I still wanted something else though and today, I found it. The kids and I were going to meet Rob for lunch and we had some time to kill before we were meeting, so we went into a local Christian bookstore and I thumbed through some of the their teaching tools and curriculum. I eventually found these DVDs for 50% off! They were a steal at $5.00. Although I do try to keep television to a minimum, these Bible stories are only a few minutes long (like 3 minutes each), are cartoons and child-friendly and are modest for preschoolers or any child for that matter (nothing violent or distasteful...Abraham and Isaac story, Adam and Eve being unclothed). I previewed them today while the kids were napping and couldn't be more pleased.
I plan on letting them watch the DVDs not as "tv time", but as part of our Bible curriculum. After breakfast, we'll watch one 3-minute Bible story from the DVD, have our lesson, do our short craft/coloring page and talk about the story and how to apply it to our lives (which is crucial...we must be able to apply God's word to our lives or it's just reading).
I can't wait to start them this fall. It's amazing how when you have a need and you pray about it, God will answer in HIS way and timing.

Those seems nice...I could learn from them as well. You haven't found anything on the Titus 2 website? I'll ask around too and if I hear about something I'll let you know.
