Babies, Babies Everywhere!

Baby "Bates"...3 months

I guess you could say we have a "little" surprise to share...baby number 3 is on the way! There have been quite a few babies born and pregnancies announced lately, so we figured we'd join in the fun. =) This little one was a bit of a surprise seeing that we were in the very beginning stages of adopting from China, BUT the Lord has a sense of humor I guess. This little one is due on our 8th wedding anniversary, June 30th of 2009 (talk about timing). We're 13 weeks along and now that the nausea, fatigue (for the most part) and not-so-fun parts of pregnancy are over, I'm looking forward to having more energy and being more of a help around here. Rob has always been amazing throughout my pregnancies, always helping around the house, taking on the kids when he gets home and checking in with me to make sure I'm okay (I can get pretty emotional at times...hormones!). I'm enjoying eating food again (craving EVERYTHING salty) and I'm convinced this child is a girl for three reasons:

1.) It's the growing trend in our families. Every third child born in our family has been a girl.
2.)I'm craving salty foods like I did with Avonlea (Lincoln was very little cravings and they were sweet cravings if I had any).
3.) When we went for our ultrasound on Monday, the heartbeat was very fast which is typical of baby girls in the womb.

So, we'll see what happends. Either way, we're wishing for a healthy baby in June! The adoption process will have to be put on hold for now...it's the rules according to America World Adoption Agencies, but when the baby is 18 months old, we can look into it again, Lord willing.

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

That date in the picture means that you knew you were pregnant at our reunion! I can't believe you didn't say anything!
