Yep! That's right! We're officially hatching chicken eggs in our house. :) We're learning about the farm next week and I wanted a neat, hands-on activity for Avy. There's a wonderful (free!) program just north of us where certified teachers can check out teaching supplies. So, we rented an incubator and I paid $6.00 for 1 dozen fertalized chicken eggs and away we go! They're about 1 1/2 weeks old right now, so we have about another 2 weeks until they hatch. It's definately a test of Avonlea's patience, but it should be fun! We'll keep updating.
