I've been lazy! :)

Okay, so I haven't blogged in awhile...many appologies. Things have been busy around here and lately, my energy level has really gone down. Normally, I'm constantly doing things during Avonlea's naptime (cleaning the house, scrapbooking, updating my blog, getting things ready for the new little guy, etc.), but this past week I've been napping when Avonlea naps and it's been so nice. I put her down between noon and one o'clock and then I get to fit in a snooze or two. The house hasn't been cleaned as well and my projects that I really wanted to get finished have been going by the wayside, but I'm rested and a happy camper in the afternoons. I remember when I was teaching English and pregnant with Avonlea, I had a planning period at the end of the day and I would turn out my classroom lights, close the door and snooze on my couch in the back of the room. It was what I had to do to get through the day, at least the last trimester.

Today, after blogging I have some baby clothing to sort through and put into categories according to size. Newborn to 3 month clothing is going in a dresser (Avonlea's since we don't have a bedroom for the little guy yet) and the rest goes back in a storage bin for later.

Yesterday, Gail (my Creative Memories consultant) stopped by to drop of a much needed album (in black) with some pages and a mini-tape runner so that I can start "The Bates Family Album". (Ha! We'll see how far it gets before the little man shows up. :) I have every intention of organizing pictures tonight and getting them ready, but we have 6 plastic bins (the small ones) of pictures and I'm a little overwhelmed to go through them. It always winds up being a fun project though, going through pictures from the past. Rob and I have been been together (dating to present) a little over 10 years (!!!) and it's always so much fun looking back on old photos of us in high school and college. Rob always manages to bring up halarious stories that I've forgotten and we could spend the whole night laughing at dumb things we did, fun times and great memories. (There are some crazy ones!) Our 6 year anniversary is coming up this June (the 30th) and needless to say, we'll most likely be a little preoccupied with a new addition to our family. Hopefully, we'll be able to at least get out to dinner, even if we have to take Lincoln with us (hopefully he'll sleep).

The only other project I'm working on is a Christmas stocking for Avy.

I've been working on it since she was a baby and it takes SO much time (very detailed). I'm almost done with it though and hopefully I'll finish it before the baby arrives. I made Rob one years ago and I've had one I bought to make for myself, but I'm sure I'll be the last one with a stocking up since I need to get started on Lincoln's. I don't mind a bit. Ah...the sacrifices of motherhood. There are many, but what amazes me is that I never mind making them.

So, only 5 more weeks left until "the day". That's if he doesn't come early, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Avonlea was two days late. I'm excited and a little nervous about recovering with a toddler. I'm not worried about the baby so much, it's lifting Avonlea, not being able to get down on the floor with her to play and all the little things I take forgranted. It'll all work out though. I've had so many friends offer to help out that I think we'll be set until Rob's mom gets here the first week of July. (yeah!)

Well, I hope everyone has a sensational Monday and a wonderful week!!!
